It would be important to know the full blessing. While Baruch she'amar was the opening blessing of the Psukei de Zimra, Yishtabach is the closing blessing. The fully chanted blessing is a mixture of Magen Avot Mode and Adonai Malach Mode - in the Chatimah is a modulation into Major before then going back to Minor - the typical feature of the Yishtabach blessing and usually done by cantors in an elaborate style.
Psukei deZimra is the communal preparation for prayer. It is good to add some composed tunes fitting into Yishtabach mode to make the congregation participate activly.
